As usual our amazing team of volunteers will be on hand to share their skills and help you to repair your clothes, toys, bicycles, laptops, computers, small household electrical/electronic items, small items of furniture, costume jewellery and restringing necklaces and knife/scissor sharpening.

Refreshments of hot and cold drinks and cakes will be available at a small cost.

We are excited that the Department for the Environment (DEFRA) has set up a new Circular Economy Taskforce that will produce some policy recommendations in the coming months.

While that may sound like a bit of a snooze-fest, it’s a great opportunity for the government to start a long-term shift away from recycling reusable products, and towards supporting a thriving repair and reuse economy. And we see it as a great chance to show our political leaders how much public—and political—appetite there is for this shift.

With this in mind, the Restart Project are asking for your help to make some noise!

They’ve prepared a tool you can use to email your local MP asking them to support the new Taskforce. Please do give it a go (it only takes a couple of minutes)!

We had our last Repair Café for the year on Saturday 30th November and now our fantastic team of volunteers will be taking a well deserved break between Christmas and New Year (when the next one should fall).

We are now taking bookings for our first session of 2025, which will be on Saturday 25th January at Friends/Quaker Meeting House, 34 Mill Rd, Worthing, BN11 5DR from 10am – 4pm. We will then continue on the last Saturday of every month throughout the year. Please remember – think before you throw – it might be repairable!

Our talented volunteers can help you to repair your clothes, toys, bicycles, small household electrical/electronic items, small items of furniture, computers/laptops/tablets, and knife/scissor sharpening. We also have specialist repairers who come in as and when needed for things like: jewellery, simple upholstery & furniture repairs (chairs and stools), darning and soft toy/doll renovation – so do let us know if you need any of these services.
