Nominate TTW For £1000 Of Funding!

Posted on 09 November 2021

Please help us by nominating Transition Town Worthing to receive £1000 in funding from Ecclesiastical – the more nominations they receive the more likely we are to get the funding!

https://www.movementforgood.com/12days/#nominateACharity

Please note that when you go to add our name, please tick the “registration exempt” box first – as we are a CIC and not a charity – then type in Transition Town Worthing and choose “environment and climate” as the charity type.

Thank you so much!

We were really busy yesterday at our Repair Cafe. As ever, some challenges, some things that were impossible to repair, and some that were an absolute joy and brought tears to our eyes (see crochet blanket photo & related story).

Huge thanks to our wonderful team who work so well together and turn up every month, not quite knowing what they are going to be asked to deal with!

Welcome to the team Alex Rose who is working on a sustainability project as part of his Masters Degree in Product Design at Kingston University. We hope to work with Alex to come up with some useful research, based on the types of repairs we have done at the Repair Cafe, what products we find are frequently not able to be repaired and what ones have a high repair success rate.

I am looking fwd to visiting The Repair cafe for the first time next year. It looks brilliant such fabulous volunteers!

How lovely. On day will get down there x

Lovely to see things up and running again, when's the next one? Xx

It’s such a great asset to the town

.... when you have a conversation in the car on the way back from the community allotment about needing a load of woodchip for the muddy pathways and the next thing you know, its being tipped onto your driveway (after spotting someone chipping a tree at the end of the road)!

Thanks to Rita for helping Al to bag it and to Tracey and Marie for making a great start to spreading it where its needed most.

Whatever would we do without our very willing band of volunteers.
